We begin with a song written by the founder of Motown Records, Berry Gordy. Gordy wanted The Temptations to record this song, but he couldn’t find them anywhere. The Contours were in the hallway of Motown’s Hitsville USA recording studio and Gordy asked them to record it in order to release it as quickly as possible. It turned out to be a big #2 hit in 1962 called “Do You Love Me” by The Contours…Do You Love Me
